Methodology
In July 2026 we asked ChatGPT, Claude, Grok the following 5 questions, phrased the way real buyers ask them, with no brand names included:
- “What's the best accounting software for a small business on a budget?”
- “Can you recommend easy-to-use accounting tools for freelancers and solopreneurs?”
- “Which accounting software integrates well with my online store and bank?”
- “What features should I look for in small business accounting software?”
- “How do accountants recommend managing finances for a new startup?”
Each response was scored per brand: cited with a link = 100, ranked #1 = 85, #2 = 70, #3 = 60, #4–5 = 50, named without a ranking = 40, not mentioned = 0. The visibility score is the average across all 3 assistants × 5 questions. Data refreshes monthly. Scans run on GEOAT, the same engine behind our brand tracking.
